THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

 The Industrial Revolution took place in the 18th and 19th centuries.  This period was dominated by major changes in agriculture, manufacturing, and transportation. This had a great effect begining in Britian and then spreading through Europe and North America, and eventually engolphed the whole world.  Almost every aspect of human society was effected in some way by the Industrial Revolution.

  The Industrial Revolution was the uprising of the mass production of goods, rather than the use of hand tools to produce goods.  Workers during this period became much more productive, and because of these two factors many more goods were able to be produced.  With the production of more goods prices were able to be dropped making

much more stuff available to poor people than what was available to them before.  Therefore the poor were able to thrive in society and become more prominent as individuals than ever before.  The Industrial Revolution brought about many significant changes in the world.
